DoI chief rejects MERS claims
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne has rebutted a fierce attack on plans for the horse trams from a key figure in the Manx Electric Railway Society.
Secretary of MERS, Julian Nutter, levelled a series of attacks including claims there hasn't been enough consultation.
The Society had stated their dismay at the latest plans for the redevelopment of the prom, which would see the service terminate by the Villa Marina if its future is secured.
Mr Gawne says he's tried to work with Mr Nutter on a number of occasions and has no plans of his own to get rid of the trams.
