Alex Allinson has published a number of proposed changes to address UK Ministry of Justice concerns
Tynwald will be asked to consider a number of changes to the Assisted Dying Bill next month.
Mover of the bill Alex Allinson has drafted a number of amendments designed to address the concerns raised by the UK's Ministry of Justice.
The British Government found it was unable to recommend the Manx legislation for Royal Assent due to concerns around safeguards, capacity and arrangements for monitoring assisted deaths.
Dr Allinson's proposals include inserting four new clauses, including one to safeguard vulnerable adults, and one asking the High Bailiff to carry out a review following an assisted death to ensure the laws were followed correctly.
The Ramsey MHK believes these changes will address the issues highlighted by the Ministry of Justice.
The amendments will be subject to a full debate at June's sitting of the Island's parliament.
