Tynwald has agreed to take action if the Border and Tyne-Tees ITV newsrooms are merged.
Members unanimously backed a move to make representations for the Isle of Man to be serviced by ITV Granada instead.
The shake up of regional news coverage was announced by ITV in September.

The lobby group was formed in response to plans to increase the minimum wage by 9.9 percent
