Sidecar duo taken to Noble's Hospital for treatment
Two sidecar competitors in this year's TT have been injured following a crash in the first qualifying session of TT 2026.
Maria Costello and Shaun Parker were involved in an incident at Brandish during the second lap this evening (26 May).
The session was red flagged as a result.
Organisers of the Isle of Man TT Races say driver Maria is conscious and talking but has 'reported head injuries'.
She was flown to Noble's Hospital for further assessment.
Her passenger, Shaun, is also reported as conscious and talking with 'reported leg and arm injuries'.
He was taken to Noble's Hospital by ambulance for further assessment.
Further condition updates will be provided in due course.
At 10pm it was confirmed that roads had reopened between St Ninian's and Ramsey and from the Creg ny Baa and St Ninian's.
The Mountain Road remains closed.
