UK Chancellor cuts APD by half on domestic flights

Government says it's considering the implications for Isle of Man Air Passenger Duty following the UK's Chancellor's decision to cut the tax there.

Rishi Sunak announced in his Budget that APD's been reduced by half on domestic flights between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Passengers will now pay £13 pounds in tax on a return flight or £6.50 one way.   

The new rate will not apply to journeys from the Isle of Man to the UK.

However, in a short statement, the Manx Treasury says that will now be under review.
