Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says meetings in Tokyo gave him the chance to rub shoulders with key figures from the world’s governments.
He’d faced criticism after it was thought he’d have to miss Tynwald’s October sitting, but managed to return in time for the court this week.
Mr Teare says the meetings involved finance ministers from the world’s largest economies as well as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
He says he was representing more than just the Island:
Castletown Commissioners to decrease rates for next financial year
Man who died in Hillberry crash is named
