Glenfaba and Peel MHK left his role as Minister Without Portfolio last month

The former Minister Without Portfolio says his recent resignation was due to him not supporting the North and West Area Plan and the Transport Strategy, and nothing else. 

Glenfaba and Peel MHK Tim Crookall stepped down at the end of last month.

Chief Minister Alfred Cannan takes over the role from him, however, he remains as a member for the Department of Health and Social Care

In his first interview with Manx Radio since leaving the role, he says it was disappointing but he felt he had to leave the Council of Ministers.

He told the station that he disagrees with 'a few things coming out', and promised to give more detail on why disagrees with both the North and West Area Plan and Transport Strategy 'in time'.

Mr Crookall was asked if the decision to resign now was politically motivated ahead of the 2026 election:
