Peel's lights switched on for Christmas
It was third time lucky in the west last night (Sat 1).
Peel has been lit up for Christmas - and even better, the town is now very happy with its Christmas tree.
The first two versions erected in Market Street were described as decidedly ragged, and there was something of an outcry.
But at last night's lights switch on, Commissioner Christine Moughtin voiced the general satisfaction with the tree now on display:
