Third Tell Me book goes on sale

The Tell Me book for 2010 has been officially launched.

The interactive scheme breaks down age barriers by getting youngsters from the Island's primary schools to interview much older people, including grandparents, politicians and other well known figures from Island life.

The idea is to create an archive of people's experiences and promote greater understanding between generations.

The results have been made available on the internet, in special programmes on Manx Radio, and in book form.

Outgoing chief executive of Age Concern Isle of Man Penny Creighton has been involved in the project since the early days, and was at the launch at the Isle of Man College.

Copies of the book are on sale at bookshops around the Island.
