Helayna Ingham, wife of Daniel Ingham, posts update as £24k goal beaten

A fundraiser set up for the family of a former TT rider has surpassed it's initial target.

Helayna Ingham, wife of Daniel Ingham, set up a GoFundMe page hoping for £24,000 after an insurance firm rejected Daniel's life insurance pay out.

The 2024 Senior MGP winner died due to a crash at Doran's Bend at the TT this year.

Helayna posted on social media this week to say she feared losing the family house due to the claim rejection.

She has since updated followers where she said: 'thanks to the incredible support, donations and advice I have received, it is now looking possible for me to secure a mortgage myself and keep the home Dan and I built for our children.

'I am so overwhelmed that everyone has come together to give our family some of the financial security that I had hoped the insurance would provide.

'I am also taking professional financial and legal advice to make sure I understand our options and make the best decisions for Joey and Phoebe.'

The fundraiser now sits at over £27,000 with a new target of £40k.
