Ten cases recorded so far this year
The number of suicides verdicts on the Island this year is already double the figure for 2017.
There have been 10 cases recorded by the coroner, as of the end of August, compared to 5 in the whole of 2017.
It's the highest figure since 2012.
However, the figures haven't shown a steady increase over recent years.
Just one case was recorded in 2014 - the following year this had risen to 8, but dropped again to 3 in 2016.
