Treasury minister says levy has supported a number of public health measures
The treasury minister says the introduction of a sugar tax on the Island has been successful.
Alex Allinson told Manx Radio the charge has helped fund a number of public health measures, including dental services in schools.
The Island introduced the soft drinks levy in 2019 after a similar scheme was brought in by the UK government.
Dr Allinson says when manufacturers were faced with increased costs, they decided to take action:
