Stretch of Glen Helen Road to shut for highway repair works

Closure will be in place from 9.30am on Tuesday 22 April until 4.30pm on Thursday 24 April

A section of the Glen Helen Road is to shut tomorrow (22 April) for highway repair works by the Department of Infrastructure.

It will be closed to all vehicular traffic between its junction with the A20 Poortown Road and its junction with C5 Ballabooie Road.

The closure will be in place from 9.30am on Tuesday until 4.30pm on Thursday (24 April).

The entire length of Ballabooie Road will also be subject to a temporary 30 mph speed restriction for the same period.

In the event of inclement weather or any other adverse factor, the alternative dates will be 28 April until 30 April.

An alternative route is available via the A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road and the A20 Poortown Road.

The notice does not apply to emergency service vehicles and any vehicles or persons authorised by the Department of Infrastructure.
