Engine failure leads to mayday call
A boat has been towed back to port after encountering trouble off the Calf of Man.
Flares were fired and a mayday call was made to both Port St Mary and Port Erin lifeboat crews this afternoon.
Port Erin's Atlantic 85 retrieved the vessel 500 yards off the north coast of the islet after a suspected engine failure.
Passengers from the rescued vessel were said to be unharmed.
