Stop dodging questions, businessman told

The boss of a collapsed Island company was today told to stop 'dodging' questions and concentrate on what was put to him in court.

Jonathan Irving had to be reminded of his duties on four separate occasions as he was cross-examined in the witness box at Douglas courthouse.

During a four hour grilling, Mr Irving said he felt he - not Attorney General Stephen Harding - was on trial and accused defence counsel of asking him 'inane' questions.

Mr Harding denies a charge of perjury and committing an act against public justice, relating to the winding up of Mr Irving's company, Street Heritage, in 2010.

The trial continues.
