Company says they'll benefit a number of groups
The Steam Packet Company is set to announce, what it terms, a ‘series of measures’ to address pricing concerns.
It’s hoped they will benefit a wide range of people including farmers and visitors.
In July a report commissioned by the Manx National Farmers' Union was published which compared the prices being faced by Island farmers for freight.
It found livestock producers are 'disproportionately affected' by higher transport costs and all farms are either directly or indirectly impacted.

At the time Steam Packet Managing Director Brian Thomson said the company didn’t recognise the figures which were made public.
