Ben going to Heysham, not Birkenhead at weekends
The chief executive of the Steam Packet says the company had no other option but to stop sailings to Birkenhead this winter.
It was announced yesterday the Ben-my-Chree will instead travel to Heysham on Saturdays and Sundays, with an express coach service onwards to Liverpool for foot passengers.
