Supermarket highlighting importance of shopping local
Local producers are going to be in the spotlight at Tesco stores on the Isle of Man this week.
The supermarket giant is removing some of its usual promotions and replacing them with ones celebrating Manx products instead.
It's to mark the opening of its newest Ramsey store today (19 September).

One of the businesses being highlighted will be Jurby farmers Allansons which have been selling their 40-tonne surplus of potatoes at Tesco.
It's after they gave out free vegetables at the Royal Agricultural Show to ‘embarrass’ supermarkets into selling more homegrown produce.
