A visitor from the Falkland Islands has been describing how new-found oil wealth is set to change their traditional way of life.
Keith Biles is speaker of the Falklands' parliament the Legislative Assembly, and is in the Isle of Man on a private visit.
In a talk to Douglas Rotary club yesterday, he described the pressures facing the 3000-strong Falklands population as drilling for oil begins in its waters.
The new industry will ensure economic growth for the remote South Atlantic islands - and bring with it an influx of people and substantial onshore development.
Mr Biles says oil will change life in the Falklands forever
