Improving the provision of social services on the Island requires more than political will alone.
That was the message from a public meeting in Douglas last night, ahead of a major report being debated in Tynwald next month.
The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee recommends that welfare agency staff are better trained, more open to criticism, and overall more inclined to 'keep families together'.
