Andrew Smith says being online can be beneficial but also creates challenges
An MHK says politicians have to be careful when using social media, describing it as 'not a safe platform'.

Several MHKs and MLCs use websites like Facebook and X to interact with Manx residents.
While Mr Smith says there can be benefits to being accessible online, he warns that replying to members of the public can create issues:
