Comedian's love of IoM remembered
Legendary comedian Ken Dodd had a ‘soft spot’ for the Isle of Man and was always popular with tourists and locals alike.
So says the local who was the funnyman’s driver during a local summer season.
Alwyn Collister regularly transported the creator of the Diddy Men from Ronaldsway to the Villa Marina on a Sunday night, returning on Monday morning.
He says Sir Ken, who died on Sunday night at the age of 90, always had time for people.
