MHK calls for more local produce at fast food chains
An MHK wants to see more fast food outlets using Manx produce.
Middle member Bill Shimmins will ask the Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture what his policy is on such businesses operating on the Isle of Man at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
His query comes in response to KFC and Starbucks' plans to open stores on Peel Road in Douglas.
Mr Shimmins is keen to see such outlets commit to using local ingredients.
