Bus drivers vote to accept latest pay offer

Follows recent strike action by Unite the Union members

It's understood bus drivers on the Isle of Man have voted to accept the latest offer from government, following a long running dispute over pay and conditions.

Members of Unite took part in five rounds of strike action throughout February and March whilst negotiations took place between the union and Bus Vannin.

Drivers were balloted on Wednesday (15 March) and it's understood they were advised by the union beforehand to vote to accept the latest offer.

There were fears, with just over five weeks to go, further industrial action could have impacted public transport provision during the Isle of Man TT Races.
