Many left profession after Covid pandemic
People wanting to learn to drive are finding it increasingly difficult to secure driver training as local instructors struggle to meet demand for their services.
Manx Radio understands that some instructors have no availability well into 2024.
The problem stems from the Covid pandemic after which several instructors decided to leave the profession.
Chris Stewart recently retired and was the Island's longest serving driving instructor.
