A Peel man is setting off on the adventure challenge of a lifetime this evening (Wednesday), which will see him pedal 18,000 miles around the planet!
Paul Ashley Unett hopes to break the round-the-world cycle record, by completing the trek in less than five months.
The 29-year-old architecture student will go west, heading first to America to avoid extreme winter weather in Eastern Europe.
He aims to raise £15,000 each for the MSPCA, to complete the building of a seal pen at Ard Jekyll, and Article 25, a charity which is rebuilding a school in Haiti.
