Recent closure of NSC a reminder why new bridge required
The recent heavy rain, which saw the National Sports Centre close because of rising river levels, is one of the main reasons for Pulrose Bridge being replaced.
That's according to Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker.
The facility shut its doors and put flood prevention measures in place on Thursday 4 February.
Mr Baker says the current bridge is no longer fit for purpose:-
