Trees part of gov't 'one for every resident' scheme
There have been reports in the north of the Island of the 'intentional destruction' of recently planted tree saplings.
Ramsey Town Commissioners contacted police about the incident, which happened on Lezayre Road just across from Milntown.
A spokesperson said the birch saplings had been planted on Monday as part of government's scheme to plant a tree for every Island resident.
They were then reported as destroyed the following day.
Officers are asking anyone with information on this to call Ramsey station on 812234.
