Ramsey RNLI tow stricken fishing vessel back to safety

The crew of Ramsey RNLI station were called out in the early hours of this morning to help a fishing vessel in difficulty.
The vessel and its crew were around two miles east of the harbour entrance at Ramsey. 

The Ann and James Ritchie II lifeboat set out shortly after midnight and towed the stricken vessel back to the harbour by 1:30am.

It was a race against the incoming tide, and Ramsey RNLI says a great effort by the recovery team ensured that the boat was returned to its carriage just as the beach became unworkable.

The Lifeboat was rehoused and ready further service shortly after 2:30am.
