In its 100th year, Ramsey Cottage Hospital is planning to have a facelift.
Its welfare trustees hope to fund improvements to the main entrance at the front of the building, to create a larger access area to help people in wheelchairs, and with disabilities.
The new layout will provide a more stable temperature in the waiting areas, and improve visibility for the staff.
Secretary and Treasurer of the trustees, Derek Crellin, says: 'We realise the Hospital is unable to fund this at the present time and are in the happy position of being able to help.'
A planning application has been submitted.
