Chris Martin is standing for one available seat on the commissioners
A candidate standing in the upcoming Ramsey Commissioners by-election says he would like to try and do 'some good' for the town.
Chris Martin, who has worked for a number of charity organisations, hopes to be able to bring more events to the north and support the 'commercial activity' of Parliament Street.
There's one available seat in the South Ward by-election, and residents who are eligible to vote will be able to from 8am until 8pm on Thursday 17 July at the town hall.
He added that the main issues for residents in Ramsey are the opening of the re-use shed at the Northern Civic Amenity Site, rates and dog poo.
Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper has been speaking to Mr Martin:
The other candidates standing in the election are Gillian Corlett and John Powell.
