Local Government and Environment Minister John Shimmin has been telling MHKs why his department has taken a softly softly approach over Queen’s Pier.
He faced questions in the House of Keys about the Ramsey landmark and why no enforcement action has been taken against the Department of Transport.
In response to the query from Onchan MHK Peter Karran, Mr Shimmin said the DoT had spent a lot of money on maintenance and hadn’t just left the pier to rot.
He said anybody who did nothing for their decrepit properties could expect enforcement action.
