34-year-old ordered to pay compensation to Sefton Hotel
A Douglas man has been jailed after causing damage to a hotel suite during an overnight stay.
Jamie Christopher Hall, of Cronk Grianagh, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he admitted damaging property belonging to The Sefton Hotel.
The 34-year-old made a hole in the wall and damaged the wardrobe doors on 16 November.
He also admitted possessing the Class C drugs –Clenbuterol and Pregabalin – on the same date as well as a separate charge of possessing the latter drug on 8 September.
The court heard Hall was already in the custody of the Isle of Man Prison after being recalled on licence.
Imposing a 28-day custodial sentence, and ordering Hall to pay £200 in compensation, High Bailiff James Brooks told him: “You do have a poor record of offending.”
