Police in Castletown are appealing for witnesses to a serious road accident on Friday evening.
A 63-year-old pedestrian was being treated for serious injuries in Noble's Hospital, after being knocked down in Victoria Road, near the Sidings public house.
It happened at around 7.40pm, and the road was closed for three and a half hours while officers dealt with the incident.
The condition of the injured person has not been released.
Anyone with information about the accident, which involved a blue scooter driven by a 48-year-old man from the south of the Island, is asked to contact police headquarters on 631212.
