
Police patrols have been increased in the Woodbourne Road area of Douglas after two women were attacked while walking home following an evening out.
They were confronted by a man near the junction of Woodbourne Road and Derby Road in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Officers say they were victims of an unprovoked assault by a man aged between 25 and 30.
They were very vocal in fighting him off and police say other people walking in the area may have witnessed the incident.
