Offer to tear down Victorian railings for parking space
A Douglas resident says she was so desperate to get a permanent car-parking space, she offered to tear down a Victorian feature at her home.
Andrea Kruger is collecting signatures on a petition after the proposed development of a new estate on Westmoreland Road was announced.
She says she's not against the building of new dwellings but hopes to be able to restrict local roadside parking to existing residents in 'Disc Zone H'.
Andrea, who lives on nearby Kensington Road, says the offer to pull down the iron railings was a measure of her desperation:
