Volunteers help struggling motorboat near Peel Castle
Volunteers from Peel RNLI have issued a reminder to be prepared before venturing out on the water or along the coast as the weather starts to get warmer.
The station attended its first emergency callout of the year on Sunday afternoon - assisting an eight-meter motorboat which ran into problems just south of Peel Castle.
It was experiencing issues with its propulsion system, so the lifeboat team successfully towing it back to safety along Peel breakwater.
Coxswain Mike Faragher says "It was good to see that the sailor, who was alone, was wearing a life jacket and had a means for calling for help."
