The Island's passenger watchdog TravelWatch has voiced strong opposition to plans for a new wind farm in the Irish Sea, between the Isle of Man and north-west England.
The group says plans by energy company Centrica will impede shipping routes between Douglas and the ports of Heysham and Liverpool, and restrict the options for diversion in bad weather.
TravelWatch says it's neither for nor against wind farms in principle but is taking a stand because the interests of passengers making well over half a million journeys every year, have not been taken into account by the developers.
Centrica and its partners have held a series of public information meetings in the Island on the development 12 miles off the Manx coast, outside Manx territorial waters.
