Julie Edge presses for clarity as Cabinet Office admits it cannot separate current staff from former employees in training data
Cabinet Office Minister David Ashford says it isn’t possible to determine how many current public sector employees have completed mandatory whistleblowing training.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge had asked for the figures since 2021.
Mr Ashford confirmed that 7,083 people have completed the training during that period – but said the data does not show whether they are still employed in the public sector.
He added that additional training is available for designated whistleblowing officers, with twenty people having completed that course.
