The Civil Defence Corps is hoping to attract new recruits at an open evening later today.
The voluntary organisation is looking for people between the ages of 18 and 60, to help emergency services all over the Island.
It's seen a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys working in the community and outdoors.
The meeting is at Homefield, 88 Woodbourne Road, Douglas from 8pm.
