No major incidents for police to deal with
The police think the weather on New Year's Eve was a major contributor to it being a relatively quiet night for officers around the Island.
There was heavy rain for a number of hours, which seems to have put some people off going out.
Officers dealt with a few people who had had too much to drink, and went to have a word at a few noisy house parties.
Duty Inspector Allan Thompson says otherwise it was a pretty uneventful night:
DHSC minister 'absolutely committed' to reopening Ramsey hospital
Casualty rescued from Polish tall ship
Manx residents asked to complete Census from tonight
Grounded Ramsey tall ship could be refloated next month
