Owner outlines recovery plans for La Malouine after vessel ran aground
It’s hoped a grounded tall ship in Ramsey will be refloated in the middle of next month.
La Malouine broke free from its anchor in strong easterly winds earlier this week and ended up beached between Ballure Promenade and “the arches”.
Skipper John Kerr says recovery plans are now focused on a safe refloat, alongside efforts to retrieve the vessel’s anchor and chain:
People are being urged not to climb onto the ship while it remains grounded, for safety reasons.
