Afternoon of 27 May affected
Routine GP appointments will not be available for a time next week, so doctors can attend an education session.
Anyone who needs to see a GP urgenty is asked to call their surgery for an appointment with the on-call doctor.
The disruption is to last between 1pm and 6pm on Thursday, 27 May.
Practices are to remain open throughout the afternoon for patients to pick up test results, order repeat prescriptions and make future appointments.
