Minister highlights profitability challenges
Government is upping financial support for active farmers with hopes of enhancing the environment.
This week, a new Agriculture and Fisheries Grant Scheme has been approved by Tynwald.
It gives farmers access to a wider range of grants covering a host of initiatives, including habitat creation and protection, wildlife boxes, and education.
The update was prompted after a public consultation, which saw 90% of respondents agree a new strategy was needed to deliver a sustainable, self-reliant Manx food chain.
