Keys to elect new upper house member
Changes to the way individuals are elected to the Manx parliament's upper chamber will be put to the test later today (Thursday).
It’s the first time there’s been a contest since the House of Keys supported a series of amendments.
Three candidates are vying for the seat on the Legislative Council - advocate Paul Beckett, solicitor Jane Poole-Wilson and former police officer and government employee Alan Wright.
The court will sit at 2.30pm.
Clerk Jonathan King says today’s vote by MHKs will have two significant differences.
