A new support group is being launched today (16 October) for allergy sufferers and their carers.
The first meeting of Isle of Man Allergy and Anaphylaxis Support takes place at the Salvation Army Citadel in Douglas at 10 am.
It's been set up by parents of young allergy sufferers so they can swap experiences and recipes and share information about dealing with potentially life-threatening allergy attacks.
The group has been formed as an offshoot of the UK charity Anaphylaxis Campaign.
Between 20 and 30 people die in the UK each year as a result of anaphylaxis, usually triggered by severe allergic reactions to food.
Long term, the Manx group says it wants to make the Island a safer, more socially-inclusive place for those with allergies.
