Roll-out expected to be complete by 2026
More than 25-percent of Manx Utilities customers now have smart meters installed in their properties.
The roll-out of the new technology is expected to be completed some time in 2026, with commercial installations starting next year.
In the UK, the smart meter programme has been plagued with problems, with an estimated three million meters not working properly.
