Project to begin next month
More roadworks have been confirmed for Foxdale.
The Department of Infrastructure says following an agreement between it and a landowner in the village, work will take place at Mines Road junction
It's designed to improve visibility for drivers looking down the hill towards the village.
Planning approval for the work has been received and the retaining structures needed for the work have been ordered.
The road will not now close until late October, when the department has received confirmation of the delivery date for the materials.
Project Co-ordinator Jim Davidson says the work is the first phase of a major reconstruction of the main road through Higher Foxdale.
The scheme is scheduled for completion before next year’s TT.
