Businesses don't have a 'level playing field' says Christian
Taxpayer backed support aimed at tackling cost-of-living pressures could be eclipsed by the scale of the current crisis.
That’s the view of a Douglas South MHK who says businesses are struggling under the weight of rising prices.
This week Tynwald backed a support package which includes a £26 million loan to freeze electricity prices, the capping of bus fares and further winter support payments for those on benefits.
But Claire Christian, herself a local business owner, said she wasn’t convinced it would be enough:
