Manx Care confirms no blood shortage on Island 

NHS in the UK has issued urgent appeal for donations

Manx Care has confirmed there are no issues with blood shortages on the Isle of Man. 

In the United Kingdom the NHS has issued a national alert.

It's appealing to donors with O-negative or O-positive blood to make a donation urgently saying it's only got enough supplies for the next two days.

However the health body here has told Manx Radio the Isle of Man 'holds higher stock levels than hospitals in the UK so there is adequate stock'.
